Quality is the watch word in every phase of Spinweld’s friction welding and CNC machining production.
In addition to our Quality Manager, each operator is responsible for complete conformance to customers’ print specifications. Spinweld boasts a complete friction welding and CNC machining quality control laboratory for examination and evaluation.
We conduct superficial hardness ultrasonic flaw detection. Destructive, nondestructive, and/or dimensional evaluations are performed upon customer request to validate weld integrity and weld parameters. Quality control measures range from R&D to initial start-up, periodic sampling, and/or end-of-run.
Spinweld offers quality friction welding but nothing speaks to that effect more than the results from Element. where others just boast about their quality, Spinweld has the third-party validation to prove our results. The video below highlights the various testing techniques used to validate the quality of our welds.
Destructive quality control examinations commonly used for friction weldments include:
Nondestructive quality control examination commonly used for friction weldments include:
- Ultrasonic Flaw Detection
- Leak Test
- Surface Etch
- Pressure Test
Dimensional quality control examination equipment commonly used for friction weldments or CNC machining include:
- TESA Micro Hite, programmable, digital, height gage
- OPG 14″ Optical Comparator
- Tachometer RPM Gage
- Pressure Test Gage
- Thermal Range Gage
- Polishing Machine
- Bench Centers
- Roll Out Tables
- Granite Surface Plate 8″x3’x5′, 4″x12″x18″, Gage Blocks, Gage Pins, Height Gages, Bore Gages, Micrometers Depth, Micrometer Bore, Calipers, Indicators, Thread Ring Gages, Thread Plug Gages, etc.
It is the policy of Spinweld, Inc. to exceed customer expectations. We are committed to providing a high degree of quality that will satisfy the needs of our customers today.
